First time with my new Caravan at a festival the other week - Big Session ..... and what a fantastic feeling it was not to slum it in a big field full of tents... all mod cons included ...hot running water, cooker, cold beer from the fridge, a comfy bed, filter coffee at 10p a cup, not to mention my OWN toilet facilities - only for number 1's of course ...
DISCUSS ....

Taking three times as much space as a tent, cutting down on the comradely banter that goes between tenters, and lowering the takings of on-site traders who subsidise the festival thereby keeping ticket price down. If everyone came in a caravan, festivals would be stone dead. As well as the gridlock...
If you want home comforts, stay at home and watch the footage on the internet.
I think there's much to be said for both sides of the above discussion. On a personal note I was put off caravans by
1 - A particular bit of the Tintin adventure The Black Island
2 - Going to a caravaning open day somewhere in Hertfordshire in about 1995.
Would I stay in one at a festival? Possibly.
I recommend a trip in one to the Land of Grey and Pink.
I detect an extreme case of caravan envy here .... I can sniff it at a thousand paces ...
