  Doesn't seem to have been any comment on the departure of Lesley Douglas following the Brand/Ross debacle recently.
  
  Wasn't she responsible for destroying 6 Music daytime schedules and introducing the abomination of George Lamb?
  
  Radio 2 DJs have been saying she was the best thing since sliced bread, but trying to turn 6 Music into a personality-driven station was the worst move in radio history.
  
  Good riddance I say.
  
  Her Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Biography: Lesley Douglas was appointed Controller, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 2 and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music in October 2003 and took up the post in January 2004. Lesley's role was expanded in May 2007 when she was appointed the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's first Controller, Popular Music. Her remit included taking responsibility for co-ordinating the full range of popular music output produced across the various Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ platforms.

  On the day she resigned, Mark Riley paid tribute to Lesley Douglas, saying that his show would not have been possible without her. It seems to me that he epitomises the opposite to personality-driven radio. One way or the other, 4 pm until midnight, Monday to Friday, is all good at the moment.

  I do remember Mark Riley making that comment and I was surprised.
  But even though she's gone, I doubt if we'll be getting rid of the day time rabble.
