Is it just me or is most of last night's tracklisting missing? Wanted to know the name of that Dick Dale track. While I'm here, can anyone recommend a decent Dick Dale compilation?
You're right. That's not good, apologies, I played more records than that. About 25 More.
Will chase.
I'm still scratching my head as to who "Ottis Redding" is.
And whist I'm on my high-horse; I've never heard of the song "Change Gonna Happen" either. I always thought it was called "A Change is Gonna Come", but I must be wrong.
Tsk!
Cheers Gid. Michelle Shocked playing Union Chapel tomorrow but maybe you're just about to mention that. I am theorising you followed her with Gravenhurst because they're also playing in London this weekend! Let's see...
Sometimes I think too hard about these things.
Apologies if all I seem to do is come on here and whinge about the iPlayer, but is anyone else having problems listening to last night's show (Monday 24th)?
giving it tiger no problem
roofdog - I've got it, no problems! But there have been problems a lot frequently than before...
Listening to Abba twice in 24 hours -
I think this thread should be renamed "The Trials of Roofdog and the iPlayer/Tracklisting".
No problems for me listening to last night's show but that said, the funky looking iPlayer has gone and the show is streaming via the old Real Player tool bar. Not sure if that suggests a problem with iPlayer or not but it palys for me without any problems.
I am a perrfectionist in all things.

Hello. It appears there was a problem last night across most networks affecting iPlayer. Basically, the MP3 version of last night's show has failed to publish. This means that you can only here the show in Real format. For those of you who don't have Real installed on your computers this is a problem. A fix is being worked on and as soon as we know more we will let you know. Please accept our apologies.
Big hairy bums!
Last night's show won't play for me now, (Tuesday 25th of November)! What have I done wrong? I can't even seem to get it kick-started via Real Player. Argh.
Help! If the "Mushroom Cupboard"-dwelling techies can't fix this problem for us, I will have no choice but to start listening to Christmas tunes a good 5 days earlier than I really ought to. On your conscience be it.
just kicked started here no problem
Thank you techies. I could kiss you!
Just before I began listening to my Christmas tunes, I gave the iPlayer one more try and hey presto, the darn thing started first time.
Bravo.

Funnily enough it landed on all four wheels and they drove away.
What?
"Did you know there are no Dutch Elms left in Britain"?
"Completely wiped out".
"Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting".

Tracklisting for Thursdays show??? Where is it and its Friday night!!!!
C'mon BEEB - you've got nearly as much money as Queen Liz - throw a bit towards the techie department to get things sorted!
Monday, and it's still not there!
It is being worked on. Apologies. Will try to find out when it might return
Getting closer to 9.00pm and the tracklisting still not working!!!
Those techie bods should get off their tea break(s) and get it sorted.

Hi Gideon - is there any more news on the tracklistings front please? I'm feeling a bit lost without it, even though I listen mostly on iPlayer!

Just like 'purrmeister' I listen mostly on iPlayer and try as I might I can't make out what was said after the track I liked. Tracklisting would give me all the information I need. So what's up???
Hello,
There's serious work going on re the tracklisting. Apologies in the meantime.
The track you mentioned was Scott 4 and Lefturno from the Lp Worksproject on the V2 label from about 1998.
Cheers
Gid

Oh no, I 'm a listen again regular and I'm listening to Monday's show whilst drawing a crocodile in a top hat and I can't see the bloomin' track list on the website. What was that stompy Dungen-sounding track... Taming Parlour was it? It knocked my socks off. Loved it.
Oh hang on, I can rewind the iplayer. Sorry, panic over! Duh.

I'm with you Snuffles I want to know what that Taming Parlour??? track was, knocked my socks and bobble hat off!
That's Tame Impala. Very good it is too.
As I said on the show last night, some news on the tracklisting by the end of the week
Currently in my Taming Parlour there are three feral Dachshunds and a naughty kitten.

< As I said on the show last night, some news on the tracklisting by the end of the week >
I hope so, because between Marcs show getting cut short on iPlayer, his intro in your show (on iPlayer) and your front page littered with guitar pick wallpaper things are a bit disorganised at BEEB headquarters
Glad the show is as organised and as entertaining as ever (ahhhh, somethings never change!)

Gideon rules,
Thanks to your DIY tracklisting service I located the album on the Folk Archive label via Amazon. It arrived this morning and is excellent. (and at £2.28 inc. postage, well you can't really go wrong can you?)

I am very much appreciating the extra helpings of dub and reggae on the show recently. Lovely stuff.
whats a girl to do when she can't listen again?
she leaves home, i mean home page, and visits iplayer
Thanks for the tip, knerak. Works perfectly well from the iPlayer.
I say "perfectly well", but I now have a rather much larger picture of the good Mr Coe staring back at me, rather than the usual petite one. It's quite un-nerving.
Like the Mona Lisa, he follows me around the room! Oo-er.
iplayer boys, iplayer girls - please fix the machine
thanks
Grrr....why is Tueday's show not there yet? Gid's show seems to suffer far more than other presenters on 6music. It's a conspiracy, I tell you!
Apologies, there's been a problem. Please bear with us. Should be up later this afternoon. (weds).
Quite a good show if that whets the appetite.

You tease...
It's a ploy to get you to listen to George Lamb.
It didn1't work, mind. I'm listening to Marc Riley again
Why not fill the void by watching the 1984, festive edition of "Bob's Full House".
No, I'm not sure why either...
Because it's more entertaining than Lamb?
Oops, watch out, here comes the ban-hammer...

The ban hammer wielded by Jan Hammer?
Or MC Hammer perhaps?
"Oh, oh.
Oh, oh.
Oh, oh.
Oh, oh.
Oh, oh.
Oh, oh, here comes the Hammer.
Stop. Hammer time".
