Unusual deaths in Rock-and-Roll

  A recent post on this very board, (about "Guilty Wist", since you ask), mentioned the track "Africa" by Toto. This got me thinking...
  
  I vaguely recalled that the drummer out of said band died when using some sort of weedkiller on his garden. Wikipedia went one better and explained in full detail that;
  
  "Jeff Porcaro died. On August 5, 1992, Jeff suffered an allergic reaction due to a pesticide he was using in his garden",
  
  Now, I am not wishing to trivialise anyone's untimely demise or make unsavoury fun out death, but can anyone top that for the most un-rock-and-roll way to shuffle off?
  
  Any nominations must not involve the rock-and-roll classics/cliches of alcohol, drugs or car/plane crashes.

  One of the Alman Brothers died from the after effects of agent orange - same difference.
  
  Nico died from falling off her bicycle, which is pretty mundane.
  
  Jesu - that was in 1988 - TWENTY YEARS AGO. I remember reading about it while I was hanging out at the Nyon Folk Festival. I was so young, so free, so handsome, so completely out of it...... where have the years gone? [sobs quietly and tops up the pint of gin]
  
  Before anyone says it - mama cass didn't really choke on a ham sandwich.

  Despite doing everything in his power to emulate the mythical death of his hero Hank Williams - including the massive and continous intake of industrial amounts of drugs and alcohol and a daring "game" of Russian roulette in front of Steve Earle - Townes van Zandt finally succumbed to a post surgical blood clot on the lungs after limping round with a broken hip for a week.

  F-o-O, glad you didn't fall into the trap of stating the widely-believed, urban myth about Mama Cass.
  
  What about Sonny Bono. Didn't he collide with a tree whilst skiing with fatal consequences? What a disappointingly avoidable way to go.
