It was an exciting moment in the office this evening as the new virtual duffer badge made an appearance...its brilliant and on Monday it will be officially available (we hope...a big boss type person has to sign it off) for you to use on your myspace and facebook pages (other social networking sites available you understand)
So listen out on Monday as the Duffer goes virtual....who'd have thought it!! Also, we'll have some archive session tracks from Coldcut, Shop Assistants and some XTC.
any chance of this branding exercise being extended to limited edition duffel bags?
My insticts lead me to question whether virtual duffing is even possible...
However as someone who has duffed in the past on the subject of frozen bread and has been desperately waiting for the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ to pull itself together and start dishing out prizes I welcome the move!
long live the Gid!

Well I'm not so sure about this!!!
'e-duffing'? Will it be available to non-badge holders? Duffing is a rarified art, not some kind of Dennis and Gnasher club-like free for all. I think you should limit it to card-carrying Duffers only. I don't know how you'd do this, as I don't know about computers. Where am I? What did i come here for?
Well, it's obvious on many fronts...when you've passed into the kingdom of dufferdom, manned by the producer on one side of the pearly gates, and Gid on the other, you are emailed an electronic key which gives you the rights to unlock your badge. DRM conquered, and incidentally, you're on the boards, you came here to post your message, and you'll be ok in the morning....
A 'new' virtual Duffer badge? Heavens to Betsy. Surely as Duffers we should be embracing the familiar and actual. There's far too much renewing and virtualising these days. "Proper old badges or nowt" shall be my rally cry, although as a Duffer and embracer of the familiar, I will not be endorsing any kind of revolution, merely a hankering for that which is known and comfortable.

XTC and virtual duffer badges? What more can a casual duffer need?
Does it come with a 418 page manual as well as a fold-out quick setup guide?
Is there a Facebook group for Duffers and those in Dufferdom?
No, but we could make one.
