webcam shows the heart of Instow village including The Quay,
and The Post Office
Instow
lies on the banks of the River Torridge. It boasts wonderful
views across the estuary to Appledore.
Instow
is popular with fishermen, artists, kite flyers and water
sports enthusiasts. There is a ferry across to Appledore in
the summer.
Instow
Signal box on the Tarka line still has most of its equipment
still intact. It survived the sweeping changes during the
Beeching era to become the first such building in the country
to acquire listed building status (Grade II) and is open to
the public.
