Second helpings?

Couldn't hear the web address over your snap, crackle and pop? Did the bacon sizzling in the pan drown out the phone number? Here's your chance for some second helpings of countywide breakfast.

Each weekday between 0600 and 0900, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Devon provides you with the essential news and information you need to get your day in Devon underway.

Listeners in Plymouth have a choice of programmes with Gordon Sparks presenting a breakfast show that is 'purely for Plymouth' whilst Matt Woodley hosts a show that covers the whole of the county.

There's often a plethora of telephone numbers, web addresses and contact details given out on Matt's show, here are some from recent programmes.

Armed Forces Day

We've been featuring the lead up to a special day to celebrate the efforts of our troops and their familes as part of "armed forces day".

You can find more information about the events in Devon here:

Going wild in Devon's capital

Going wild for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Springwatch

Matt has recently been "going wild" in Exeter city centre looking at the fascinating havens for the likes of otters, badgers and foxes in urban locations.

In fact, there's so much to see in Devon's county town that the Devon Wildlife Trust and the City Council have got together to promote areas of Exeter you may not know about.

Check out the "Exeter Wild City" project for more information.

Pause For Thought

Satish Kumar has been our guest on Pause For Thought recently.

His thoughts as a philosopher, environmentalist and editor of "Resurgence" magazine have stirred a lot of reaction from listeners.

If you'd like to know more about the work of Satish, check out the magazine's website here:
