Dawlish Warren Beach

Information about Dawlish Warren Beach on the South Devon coast - one of Devon's Blue Flag beaches. It also won a Marine Conservation Society award in 2007.

Dawlish Warren Beach is ideal for families, as it is sandy and has excellent facilities.

It's in Teignbridge in South Devon, but is also very close to Exeter.

The beach is mainly sand and dunes with some shingle. It has a cafe, shops, food outlets, and amusements.

There are facilities for disabled visitors, and disabled access to the beach.

There are toilets, deckchair hire, slipway, first aid, lifeguards, lost child centre and a promenade.

The beach has a dog restricted area, dog exercise area and a pay car park.

There is also an experienced team of beach lifeguards who are on watch daily (May to September).

Nearby there is a nature reserve and there is a harbour at Cockwood.

How to get to Dawlish Warren: From the motorway at Exeter take the A38 and A380 towards Teignmouth. Then take the A381 towards Dawlish.

From Dawlish, follow the signs for Exeter. Dawlish Warren is signposted on the main road.
