Q: What's the history of the band?
A: We were all best friends at school but we only formed the band just over a year ago.

Q: What's behind the name?
A: Well, our name is Fen Tigers, we went through many changes but stuck on this. We think it's quite striking and memorable.

Q: Give us three words to describe your music.
A: Intense, exciting, danceable.

Q: Give us a little background on the track you've chosen for us to demo.
A: The track is called My Mind Is A Maze. When we wrote this it was quite different from our older stuff. We felt as though we had stepped up a level as a band with this track.

Q: Who's in the band?
A: Joe Hatt on guitar and vocals, Tom Ling on guitar, Tony Williamson on Bass and Sam Tabberner on drums.

Q: How's the current music scene in your area?
A: Locally there are so many good bands but not one venue is helping the scene, it could be massive!

Q: You haven't been together as a band long, have you had a very memorable gig?
A: Probably playing the Cavern in Exeter. We had a big crowd and I think we won them over as many of them didn't know who we were!

Q: Who have put their influences into making the Fen tigers who they are today?
A: The main influences would have to be the Smiths, Sonic Youth and Bloc Party, we'd love to perform with any of them!

Q: It's the Fen Tigers dinner party and you've got three guests, past or present, real or fictional to invite. Who would it be?
A: I think it would be Morrisey, because who can say they've met him, Winston Churchill to say thank you and Kele Okerele (The vocalist and guitarist of Bloc Party) so we could suck up big time!

Q: Complete the sentence, When we become famous...
A: ...We will have deserved it.

Q: Where in Devon are you based and what are the highs and lows?
A: We're in Barnstaple, the highs are that the area is very laid back but the lows is that the music scene from here is largely ignored by the rest of the county.

Q: Last chance to sell yourselves...
A: We offer a lot to the Devon music scene. We've only just started as well so we still have an awful lot more to offer.
