Q: Why Eleven?
A: It's in homage to the mighty Spinal Tap. Anyone who has seen the film will know where the name came from and we stick religiously to keeping our amps turned up to 11.

Q: Who's who in the band?
A: Eleven grew from the jamming of brothers Steve and Chris Tanton (drums and guitar respectively). But when Steve left north Devon for the bright lights of west London to go to music college, the end of the band looked nigh.

However, he not only returned with a degree but a burning desire to complete the band they'd started, so they recruited more local musicians. Firstly Ben Thake (bass and vocals) then Ryan Butler (vocals and guitar), a local lad with a bigger voice than his persona ought to allow.

The lads are all aged between 17 and 19.

Q: Describe your music in three words.
A: Fun(ky), rock 'n' roll, passionate.

Q: Is that three words...? Tell us about the track you want us to listen to...
A: And Then Some is the track. It's about nothing more than wanting a girl's mind, body and soul.

Q: What do you reckon to the current music scene?
A: It's vibrant and varied which is healthy. But sometimes it takes itself too seriously.

Q: If you could invite ANY three people to a dinner party, who would you ask?
A: Jim Morrison, Carlos Santana and Bob Dylan. Why? Imagine how good the jamming would be!

Life's a beach in north Devon

Q: What are the highs and lows of living in north Devon?
A: Highs - summer, surf, beach and girls.
Lows - none of the above and no gigs!

Q: Complete the sentence: "When we become famous....."
A: ... we will keep our feet firmly on the..... pedals of our expensive sports cars! lol.

Q: So what are your hopes for the future?
A: We are hungry for success, hard working and most of all we love music. We want to bring rock 'n' roll to the masses.
