Kirstin joined Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Devon in 2001 and soon became a regular voice on the county's airwaves.

She started out as a member of the travel team, presenting bulletins for Devon and Cornwall.

After a spell of covering for holidaying programme presenters, she was given her own Saturday Late Show in 2007.

"The listeners soon become friends so I really enjoyed working on a Saturday night, I never knew what to expect!" She said.

"All I want to do is give back what they've given to me... usually sore tummy muscles from laughing so much."

In 2008, Kirstin was asked to take over the weekend lunchtime shows, presenting her own magazine programme on Saturday and joining Tony Beard to play your choice of music on the Sunday Request Show.

History

She now lives in Torbay but spent most of her childhood in Dhahran Saudia Arabia, where her father was a dentist for an Arab American oil company.

Kirstin thoroughly enjoyed living and mixing with Americans, Saudi's and various other nationalities.

On returning to the UK, she came to live in the South West, an area which has always had a strong family connection.

A degree course at Brighton Polytechnic gave her a strong background in travel and tourism which was to be put to good use, when she joined the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ as part of the travel unit.

Kirstin is a keen tennis player. She loves all outdoor activities and finds it difficult to sit still.

Now she's in her element because she gets to travel the county meeting interesting characters and producing fascinating features.

Saturday Lunch with Kirstin is a like a three course meal.

For starters there's great music and chat.

The main course could take you for a trip on a catamaran; chasing ponies on Dartmoor; demolishing a house or even having your eyebrows tattooed!

Then for desert, she'll bring you all the latest entertainment news and take a trip out on to the moors with Tony Beard and Kev Hutchings.
