His performing career has seen him perform in concert halls all over the world and, most recently, with conductor Lorin Maazel in the US. He has appeared on television and radio, as well as been featured on CDs. As a composer, Ben is inspired by landscape and the environment and his composition Svalbard reached No 3 in the charts last December. Ben loves walking his two labradors and mountain-biking in the Cumbrian fells - but has given up trying to do them at the same time!
