Blast Diary: Part 3

By Blast Reporter Kimberley Boak
Find out what's new this week with Kimberley

Hello!!

Well this week’s been another entertaining one. Popped down to the Carlisle v Bradford City match on Tuesday night, which was great. Getting to sit up in the commentary box and look down on where I usually stand with my dad and the rest of my family, I gave them all a wave!!

Going down to the game has definitely been one of the highlights so far.ÌýÌýÌýÌý

Although, because of the penalties, I didn’t get away till 11.20pm and I was up for work at 6am Wednesday morning, which was a bit of a struggle.

Trying to wake myself up with a cup of tea, I wrote my match report, which you can read below.

>

It doesn’t seem like I’ve been here five minutes but I'm now halfway through my placement. I’m going to be gutted when it’s finished!!

On Friday I got my first proper taste of radio.Ìý I read out all the right and wrong answers as they came in for a competition during the Matchnight sports programme.

All my family and friends tuned in which was great fun.

One of my favourite things on this placement is being in the studio. It’s a lot of fun and always a laugh. It doesn’t feel as though you’re live on air though, just as if you’re sitting having a conversation.

On Tuesday I went down to the Carlisle United’s Fans Forum which wasÌý interesting. I had to write down the emails that were coming through and pass them over to the panel, I've never written so fast in my life!!

I've just got back from getting vox pops, following on from Michael Bridges departure from United to Hull, which once again was a task and a half but it's done now!!Ìý It's amazing how people move away from you as you approach them with a microphone.

Sunday will see me back at Brunton Park when Carlisle play Cheltenham. Kick off 2pm.

It’s going to be a bit of a rush as I only finish work half an hour before kick off but I’m going to have my mam sitting outside in the car so I can just run out and dive in.

Hopefully I’ll get there on time.

Well that’s about it for this week, another diary update soon.
