Being poked in the eye by alien technology is not just shudderingly horrible, it's reminiscent of Captain Picard's transformation into Borg, as he remembers in Star Trek: First Contact.
While Crichton is supposed to have been flung across the universe, the galaxy he's in looks just like our own Milky Way - if a bit more yellow.
D'Argo talks about them all having been without food for a considerable time. He says it was "two weekens" which sounds like "weekend" and punningly describes the effect on them of going without food.
At the end of the episode, Moya flies toward the galaxy, which from this point of view looks just as it did in NamTar's flashy computer graphics. But to see that same view, Moya must have travelled billions of lightyears out from the galaxy. If they could find NamTar's asteroid with that precision, why can't they just nip to a nearby planet and buy an A-Z if they want to go home?
When NamTar is finally defeated, he returns to his original small, squealing form - which resembles both a very young Rygel and a fat version of Star Wars' Salicious Crumb.
The episode talks of Pilot's arm 'healing', but we're left to assume that this means he'll just have a giant scab. But the plan is that he will actually grow back that arm eventually. Which is nice.
