Trivia fans note that this is the first time we've heard the words 'Previously on Farscape'. They were spoken by Anthony Simcoe as D'Argo.

Scorpius, bright lad, correctly deduces that Crichton and the gang are heading up to the surface by the stairs. He presumably realises because Aeryn's use of Crais's ID is detected when she unlocks the gate – but she doesn't do that until the next scene.

Rygel's palm against the steamed-up container window was a direct nod to Titanic and the scene with Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet in the car.

During the cell scene when Crichton's new friend Stark tells him about his plan to pick the door lock, the guy teleports from one side of the room to the other. This is surely a handier trick than either the ineffective lock pick or that Wash and Glow shampoo he demonstrates later.

After Chiana and Rygel get out of the container, they too appear to teleport as they get to Moya's command centre within the space of one sentence from Pilot.

Despite Crais having many scenes in the Aurora chair, we see far fewer of his memories than we do of Crichton's – because Crais hasn't been in as many episodes to take clips from. All of the memories from either man are again almost all clips of things or from angles they couldn't possibly have seen.

There's an odd edit during the penultimate moments before the tag: Scorpius seems to amble around the rooftop garden as if he's thinking about pot plants. It's plainly to make it clear he survived, but it becomes an oddly flat scene. And does Crais survive? Surely not, but there's enough doubt that you understand why Gareth Thomas insisted on a gory end for him in Blake's 7, to be certain he couldn't come back.

Why does Zhaan ask D'Argo's forgiveness when she's been curious about his weapon? Why does that sound like a rude question? D'Argo's been hefting this sword/gun around for 20 episodes and there are better times to bring the subject up than when you're planting mines and trying to save your life.

What happened to Zhaan's defence of the rooftop garden anyway? She implies she's planting bombs to stop the Peacekeepers if they use the lift, but they do exactly that and yet nothing happens until Crichton sets a separate charge.

What does Scorpius do for a living? In last week's episode it was implied that he invented the Aurora Chair but Crais knew all about it, knew that no captain had been forced onto it before, and Aeryn recognised the controls on sight. Even if Scorpius invented it, he's franchised it out. And how much torturing can he get to do on a supposedly secret base?

Why is the Gammak Base meant to be so secret? You can understand that someone experimenting with wormholes would want to place it at a safe distance from anywhere worth speaking of, but then it's just a matter of lighting the blue wormhole effect and retiring.
