A Human Reaction
by Justin Monjo
Directed by Rowan Woods

DID YOU NOTICE?

It's not explained how the aliens find Crichton in the first place, but it may be to do with his messages to his father. We can't be sure whether he's recording these or sending them out – as patently he has sent some messages – but conceivably the aliens intercepted them.

When Crichton's father arrives in the Australian warehouse, the speaker in Crichton's cell is switched off so that he can't hear what's being said. So why do Crichton Sr and Wilson keep up their pretence?

Is Aeryn real? She probably is, as the others are, but she changes into an Earth dress that can't exist and Crichton must have doubts because he does pull a gun on her as well as everyone else in the plaza.

Aliens creating an illusory world to fool a human is similar to what happens to Captain Christopher Pike in the very first Star Trek, The Cage.

Chiana has become at least a semi-regular, though she had even less to do in this episode than Zhaan – the other blue alien.

One of Crichton's old friends who appears to have turned against him is called Cobb – possibly named after Number 6's first betrayer in The Prisoner.
