Meet Coventry correspondent Russell Joslin

Q:Ìý What's your name?

A: Russell Joslin.

Q:Ìý From?

A. An Essex boy settled in Kenilworth since 1978. Have since learned my Tees and Aitches.Ìý We only have a 24 letter alphabet in Essex!

Q:Ìý Star Sign?

A. A load of rot and rubbish, but Scorpio if you must!

Q:Ìý Joined the Beeb in?

A: Started working for Â鶹ԼÅÄ in 1994 around a year before old CWR disappeared.Ìý Don't think I was responsible for it's closure

Q:Ìý What has your career involved so far?

A: I became a journalist in my mid twenties in 1986 after variety of jobs and time on the dole.ÌýSpent first ten years working as tabloid hack and feature writer.ÌýÌýGot interested in local radio in mid-90s, started out at CWR and have mainly freelanced for Â鶹ԼÅÄ stations since then.

Q:Ìý What does your job involve?

A: Keeping listeners abreast of the happenings and goings on in south Warwickshire.ÌýÌý Reporting live on breaking news.ÌýCovering issues and bringing people's concerns, interests and passions to the airwaves.ÌýÌý I am also the ambassador and public face of Â鶹ԼÅÄ Coventry and Warwickshire in my patch (or so they tell me).

Q:Ìý What's your favourite place in Coventry and Warwickshire?

A: Burton Dassett Hills, fantastic scenery.

Q:Ìý Who's your favourite person?

A: Far too many to mention but lets say... my folks.

Q:Ìý What's your favourite hobby?

A: I am a keen cyclist but you'd probably have to put "going to the pub" in there too. In fact, you definitely have to

A: Â鶹ԼÅÄ made Irish lamb stewÌýand a slab of Irish sirloin and chips.

Q:Ìý Your favourite drink?

A: A pint or eight of foaming, frothing Guinness

A: Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrisson

A: Taxi Driver.

A: Despite years of live broadcasting and the public image, I am actually quite shy.
