Ain't No Sunshine

...when you're gone. After 40 years of service, including providing the weather forecast for both Â鶹ԼÅÄ Radio Cornwall and Devon for the last 7 years - as well as telling rubbish jokes - Chris Stumbles our weatherman is leaving. Leave a messge...

We regularly listened to you when we lived in Truro.Ìý We now live in Cyprus, where you would find the weather forecasts a lot easier - "sunny".Ìý Have a great retirement.

George and Josephine - Cyprus

Thank you for all your lovely humour and jokes over the years. I looked forward to your forecasts every morning on radio and I can tell you now tis by your forecast that we went sailing or no in the Carrick Roads at the weekends with the Falmouth working boat fleet. On behalf of myself and wife and crew of our boat, have a very busy retirement and do all the things that you can with Margaret and take time to smell the roses and feel the gentle breeze.

Brian Chenoweth - St Mawes

Hi Chris we will miss you for one simple reason, we will now have no one to shout at when it rains which means we can't work. Have a good retirement from all the Pengelly farmers.

Slim - Helston

Thank you for your great sense of humour and your singing has made me laugh. Your weather forecasts have been very good most of the time! Enjoy retirement you will be missed.

Coral - Boyton

Good luck for the future, have a lovely long retirement. All the best and enjoy the lie in. We will miss you doing the weather and banter with Laurence!

Liz - Camborne

Good luck mate. I hope you have a long, happy and fit retirement, and enjoy your weekend parties.

Alwyn Smitham - Hayle

Chris, You are a star!ÌýHope you received my card earlier.ÌýJust Be Happy, both you and Margaret. I have a son in the Met Office, presently with the MMU in Iraq. He also sends best wishes.ÌýDo hope you come back to Radio Cornwall in any job sometime.

Diana Lightwing - St Keverne

Just to say he'll be a hard act to follow is putting it mildy. What charisma, what jokes, what next! Happy retirement to one of Hayle's finest.

Roger and Carol

Chris, I shall miss your banter with Pam and James mornings when I'm going to work. Can you do a bit of part time forecasting mornings? Have a happy retirement.

Alan

Good luck & Happy Birthday Chris. We will all miss your dulcet tones in the mornings giving us very accurate weather forecasts, but now how will we know when the International Space Station is passing overhead now you have gone?

Derek Smith - Playing Place

GOOD LUCK CHRIS YOUR HUMOUR WILL BE MISSED.

BREN & H. BUGLE

I never did manage to see the space station despite your constant updates on it! Niether did I discover WHY do the moon and sun appear upon occasions? Your wonderful informative weather slots will be much missed in this household. Your humour and your Cornish voice livened up the day. Thank you - enjoy your retirement, you deserve it. But what will we do now?

Florence

Radio Cornwall is never going to be the same again without you...what a loss to us all...all the best for you and Margaret in your retirement...be good!

Jill Fountain - Newlyn

James, Pam and yourself made a wonderful trio to wake up to in the morning.ÌýYou will be greatly missed. Enjoy your retirement. From one OAP to another, you will wonder how you ever had time to work.

Sylvia from St Agnes

Chris, I was a window cleaner from '85 to '97 to both comm and domestic properties. In order to reduce the chance of falling off my ladders of all shapes and sizes and getting too wet for comfort I religiously listened to your predictions. In all those years you never let me down.(Well, maybe once). Well done that met man and bon voyageÌýlad

Mick Brummell - Truro

Chris, Working with aircraft at Newquay and now at Plymouth I always listened intently for severe weather, fog etc that may upset the flights. Really accurate stuff and you will be missed. I also liked to listen to the astronomical bits but still haven't seen the Space Station. I'm due to retire next year and hope I can afford to. All the best.

Steve Waller - Warleggan

Thanks Chris for a wonderful mix of humour and weather in the mornings - you brought real colour to Spotlight as well.Ìý Best wishes for your retirement.Ìý

Yvonne & Don - St Austell

Chris STUMBLES into Â鶹ԼÅÄ studio and says "Laurence please REED this forecast - I have a SMALL problem - I went into a CHURCH YARD and fell into a rabbit WARREN - I got dirt and SPRIGGS all over the script.
