James Morrison Talks

Cornwall's diminutive Brit Award winner James Morrison is back and hoping his new single and album continue his astonishing success. Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Cornwall's David White talks about the day he met James Morrison. Hear the interview as well.

"I wasn't really sure what to expect before I met James Morrison. I obviously knew who he was, but it was the first time I'd had a chance to meet him let alone talk to him for half an hour about 'things'.

"The girls in the office were getting rather excited as the clock ticked towards 11am. In fact I was even paid a visit in my studio by Amy Gladwell, one of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio Cornwall's journalists.

"I think she was checking I hadn't already sneaked him in! After deciding she would craftily bring in a cup of tea for me when James just 'happened to be sitting in the studio' she went away again, presumably to check her make up!

"James strolled in just before 11 and proved to be a thoroughly nice guy. He was really easy going off air and on air was funny, witty and charming.

"He didn't flinch when I asked him certain questions and was happy to talk about busking, he had some great stories to tell and even made light of the fact he gets mistaken for James Blunt!

When James Morrison met David White

"Sure enough, halfway through the interview (I'm amazed she lasted that long!) Amy pops in with a cup of tea. 'Well, what do you know? Fancy that James, someone bringing me tea when you're here!'

"James, being the gentleman, planted a hefty smacker on Amy's right cheek. She subsequently left the studio, her knees buckling underneath her, in a fit of giggles!

"James Morrison is a top bloke, but don't take my word for it, listen to the interview yourself."
