Help playing audio/video "The mural is based around the celebrations of the school's Centenary last year"Μύ explained Eileen Parsons. "We wanted to create something which celebrated the school's ethos and brighten up the school". James Churchfield talks to the students The mural is sited inside the school's main entrance and contains 10 4ft by 8ft panels each depicting a separate decade of the century. "Each board was completed by one, two or a group of students who were asked to come up with subjetcs that reflected events from St Austell, Cornwall, Britain, Europe and the world, said Parsons. "The result is a fascinating mix of historic events which show that our school is older that the Titanic, electric light bulbs, votes for women and the atomic age!". last updated: 25/02/2008 at 15:46 SEE ALSOYou are in: Cornwall > Features > About Cornwall > 100 Years in Colour |
