It's not been the best summer weather-wise, but for Porthleven the sun was shining down on the many gig teams taking part in the annual regatta.

"We were very lucky to have the only sunny, dry day for weeks," says Jo Wright from Porthleven Gig Club.

"The wind dropped though conditions remained a little lumpy. There were a few tussles and coming togethers around the buoys but generally everyone had a great time and we have had many emails thanking us for a great gig day.Μύ

"Roseland won everything except U16s - Mounts Bay, Ladies B - Falmouth and Mixed was won by Zennor.Μύ Many thanks to the Harbour Inn who gave us the profits from a barrel of beer (most of which seemed to have been drunk by Roseland)."
