Complaint

An interviewee in an item on homelessness said he had become homeless as a result of his father throwing him out because he was gay.  A close family member contacted the programme after transmission to dispute this account of events, and subsequently complained to the ECU that the programme’s response had been inadequate.

Outcome

In the view of the ECU, the programme-makers’ posting on the Corrections and Clarifications page of bbc.co.uk sufficed to resolve the issue of complaint.
