The tweet posed the question, whether views expressed by the new President of Brazil were homophobic, racist and misogynistic or βa refreshing breakβ from political correctness.Β A reader complained that the implication such views could be regarded as refreshing was objectionable.
Outcome
The ECU agreed that the implication was objectionable, but the speedy deletion of the tweet, followed by a tweet explaining the reason for the deletion, sufficed to resolve the issue.
