A tweet referring to an interview with the Green Party MP Caroline Lucas about Brexit read: ‘Would Green MP Caroline Lucas accept the result of Brexit referendum where Leave won? “No, I probably wouldn’tâ€â€™. A reader complained that this misrepresented Ms Lucas’s position.
Outcome
Ms Lucas had said in the interview that in the short term she would accept the result and that this would settle the issue for the foreseeable future. The tweet did not accurately reflect this.
