Outcome
This was an interview with a civilian who had been kidnapped and whose husband was still in captivity. ΜύAudiences would have expected the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ to question her sensitively on what she had seen and experienced but not necessarily on the wider conflict in the Middle East nor her own personal background.Μύ The interview was not broadcast in isolation but in the context of extensive coverage of the Gaza conflict in the same programmes and elsewhere on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ. ΜύThis was sufficient in the ECU’s view to ensure due impartiality was maintained on the wider political questions raised by her ordeal.
