Our mission must be to deliver for the whole of the UK and ensure every household gets value from the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ."
The majority of the commissioning briefs across this website detail the commissioning strategy and priorities of our Network commissioning teams, for content that will be broadcast on ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ One, Two, Three, Four and iPlayer. The ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ also commissions content in each of the devolved Nations, tailored specifically to the needs of local audiences. These programmes are transmitted as an βopt outβ to the main Network offering in their area. Each of the Nations has a dedicated commissioning strategy and commissioning contacts for this content, which you can find links to below.
Increasingly, the Network and Nations teams are working together to co-commission content which appeals to audiences both locally and across the UK, where there are shared interests. This helps strengthen companies and talent outside London as well as delivering better value for the license fee payer. To be considered as a co-commission between Nations and Network an idea must have authentic regional portrayal at its heart, but offer universal appeal to audiences in all parts of the UK, and must meet the overall commissioning stagey of the Network teams. Programme ideas that have the potential to be co-commissions can be pitched to either Network or Nations commissioning teams. Find out more about our Across the UK strategy on the How we commission page.
Links to the commissioning information and contacts for each Nation can be found below, while our commissioning priorities and relevant contacts for Network can be found in the Ideas area. ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ Network also has named commissioning leads for indies in the Nations and English regions in each of the genres. Find these on the Support for indies and talent in the Nations and English regions page.
