Kinship care is where children leave the care of their parents to go live with someone already known to them.
Our Radio 4 Appeal raised £5,417 for our work with 'kinship carers'.
Kinship care is where children leave the care of their parents to go live with someone already known to them, such as a family member or a family friend. This can be on a temporary or longer-term basis.
Our Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 appeal allowed us to deliver a campaign to help raise awareness of the challenges faced by kinship carers, such as disruptive behaviour and a bereavement period for the child(ren), and enabled us to undertake development work in understanding their needs across London so we can find ways to help.
Our Chief Executive will attend several Kinship Care Alliance meetings this year, and from these activities, we hope to gain a broader understanding of kinship care needs and existing work in England, and apply for funding that will help us to bring our kinship care programme to life in England.
Thank you for your donation.
