Five ways to have a cringe-free Valentine’s Day

Ah, the most romantic day of the year – but it can be pretty awkward if you’re just not into all that mushy stuff! Here are some tips to avoid toe-curling moments…

1. Send someone a card!

It’s no big deal, you don’t have to sign it and it might make someone feel good about themselves.

2. Or don’t send someone a card!

Frankly, you don’t need a big glittery picture of a love-heart to tell someone you like them.

3. Don’t play the numbers game

So what if Natasha in form 2B got 27 cards and you didn’t? Who’s counting?

4. Remember there are 364 other days in the year

And on those days there’s a lot less pressure to tell people who you do or don’t fancy.

5. Ignore the whole thing

If you’re not a fan of Valentine’s Day, don’t worry – there are other things happening in the world. Why not do something you enjoy to remind yourself you’re pretty amazing too?
