Joining us at the legendary Adelphi will be two Introducing artists and headliners Pulled Apart By Horses in what will ultimately be our first new music event of the year.

In a venue as historical as this, where so many important artists have taken to the stage, it feels right to be 'introducing' a lot of you to new music right upfront. If you were lucky enough to get tickets, come with open ears and an open mind.

Miike Snow have constructed a classic juxtaposed pop song here with a sing along qualitites being equally matched by the dark twist in the lyrics. A timeless combination once again effortlessly executed.

Big in the mornings with Moyles and a big breakthough on the horizon which is bittersweet for an artist that has constantly created inspiring music. Tonight's Hottest Record is M83 - 'Midnight City' (Eric Prydz remix) putting us right in the middle of the dancefloor.

No beating around the bush with Sleigh Bells album #2 if the title is anything to go by. Get ready for the 'Reign of Terror' but don't be too scared as tonight's Hottest Record 'Comeback Kid' proves once again that pop music runs deep in the veins of this uniquely noisey duo. Innovators.

Tom DeLonge from Blink 182 returns with his ambitious project Angels & Airwaves and tonight's Hottest Record 'Anxiety'. The song will feature on a forth-coming album Love Part 2 and a forth-coming film and this is just the beginning. Check out a fell length interview with Tom where he talks about his vast ambitions and the future of music as he sees it on this show in the coming weeks.

London 5 piece Zulu Winter kick start their year with one of their newest compositions and it sounds like it. Caterwauling melodies and a steady driving pace give this reflective song enough propulsion to be danceable but never detracting from the emotion of the song. A nice combination if you can achieve it.

If you don't already, then get to know the name Friction because not only is there serious music coming out of his studio right now, but he's due to join the Radio 1 family with his brand new Drum n' Bass Show in April. When you hear tonights' Hottest Record, you'll know why. Dude is a pro.

Back to our regular slot at 7pm across the week today was made all the more exciting by the return of The Shins. From their new album, 'Port of Morrow', Simple Song', brings a distinctive 80's radio rock feel to James Mercer's otherwise timeless writing.

Lostprophets follow a long bout of touring, writing and recording to bring you their fourth studio album entitled 'Weapons', which is out through Epic on April 2nd.
