Wow, what an incredibly exciting week for music. Big returns from Mark Ronson, Klaxons, Vampire Weekend, and tonight we got the sound and the story of new Arcade Fire songs, 'The Suburbs' and 'Month Of May'. Sounds like a diverse album. At least according to Win who also revealed that the band are currently in rehearsal. Enjoy.

Tinie Tempah's new single 'Frisky' gets a tidy DnB workout from Shy FX and Benny Page. No grand standing here, just respectful embellishment to an already great tune.

Yet another tune from the new Pendulum album 'Immersion' heads to the Hottest Record department. This has been the slowest, most carefully controlled album leak in the history of digital music. Totally worked though. Excitement at it's peak, album out May 24th.
Holy Bellamy! Flaming Wolstenholme! Etc ...Muse are back with 'Neutron Star Collision'. Yes, it's featured on the new 'Twilight' movie soundtrack but this song will mean far more to Muse fans than its association with Vampires. Won't hurt the bands already unstoppable ascent. I think they just got bigger.
Tonight's Hottest Record marks the return of Underworld. While strictly not absent from recording and live commitments, this feels like a proper return albeit an unexpected one. Artistically at least, as they give us brilliant uplifting collaboration with drum and bass producer High Contrast. Stream 'Scribble' and get ready for a summer full of anthems. Don't forget world exclusive first play of new Muse: 'Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever).
Prone as I am for ''over enthusiasm'', I must go on a bit here. Bombay Bicycle Club have taken a turn and recorded a new
acoustic album that is exceptionally good. Serious now. Flawless. So ironic title (''Flaws'') aside, it is instant vintage. Hottest Record starts it all off.
Not much to talk about with Blaine from Mystery Jets, but the new single 'Dreaming in Another World' is the next hint of what we can expect from 'Serotonin' Good enough for us. Hottest Record.
Soon as we heard 'Born Free', we knew it wouldn't be as cut and dried as this. M.I.A confounds expectation and defies boundary. She does it for a living. If you don't 'get' 'XXXO', you have to accept the possibility that this is what she expected. I, personally, think it's great.

Tonight we got the chance to get inside the world of the Plastic Beach. Progress chartered alongside creators Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett and followed up by 60 odd minutes of uninterrupted live highlights from last week's London Roundhouse shows which proved to be the triumphant beginning of a whole new era for Gorillaz. Once existing only in animated form, they are now a fully fledged touring band and we are all the better for it. Listen again and enjoy.
