Rhydian's O Fortuna out Monday
Rhydian Roberts' second album, O Fortuna, is out this coming Monday and features a host of established names in the world of classical and opera.
The follow-up to his platinum-selling self-titled debut album has been co-produced by Karl Jenkins and features duets by Bryn Terfel and Dame Kiri Te Kanawa.
In an interview with Rhydian on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Mid Wales website, Rhydian said, "It was Simon Cowell's idea for me to sing, O Fortuna. It has turned out well but it was difficult to set an arrangement for a soloist".
"Simon Cowell wanted this album to have a Welsh concept but I thought this was risky because it had been done before by Katherine Jenkins, Aled Jones and Harry Secombe.
"I wanted a more refined album. We brainstormed a lot of ideas but I needed to have songs on the album that people know."
