How long it took Ian Paisley Jr. to confirm his resignation in the Assembly this morning. As I write the new junior minister, Jeffrey Donaldson, is speaking in the chamber about pre school facilities in his Lagan Valley constituency, and the Executive website has been speedily updated with his picture. The new minister has already indicated that he will give up the chairmanship of the Assembly and Executive Review Committee. He will also be replaced as the DUP's representative on the Policing Board. Clearly his appointment reinforces the notion that the two junior ministers are Justice ministers in waiting.

Jeffrey should lead the way and also resign from Westminster and concentrate on being a minister as we need 100% from our MLAs and Ministers

FEW TEARS SHED AT FUNERAL OF JUNIORβS MINISTERIAL CAREER
There is a number of main reasons for attending a funeral: to say farewell to a beloved family member or friend; to pay tribute to a valued work colleague; to show respect for a person who has contributed to societyβs betterment; or maybe simply because oneβs attendance is expected. Looking down at the attendees in the Chamber, none of these reasons was much in evidence at the funeral service for Juniorβs Ministerial Career. On the contrary, the sense of gloating at Its demise was palpable. No surprise there, given that at all stages of his political life, he has achieved preferment through nepotism, rather than through displaying any particular talent or expertise of his own.
Is it any wonder that Junior, who has spent all of his working life cocooned within his Fatherβs protective embrace, has developed into an arrogant, devious, smug and utterly repellent individual? Only a Mother could love βim!
ONE DOWN, ONE TO GO!
