Thoughtfulness
There is something rather impressive about the Obama thoughtfulness as revealed - the growing legions of foreign backers will be hoping he can survive the coming battle. is a contribution from one of the most thoughtful and independent-minded of British cultural commentators and represents a strand of thinking outside the US which I suspect will further enrage Republicans: that Obama is the real deal, a new Thatcher or Reagan, a genuine cross-appeal political rain-maker. Etc.
On more prosaic matters this will get nowhere now but will be right on the money if McCain really does win the electoral college and not the popular vote.
