I'm the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

Director General Mark Thompson unveiled 21 of the proposals so far put forward by staff but admitted: "Some, frankly, aren't going to fly." He would not be drawn on which, saying the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ is still "engaging" with staff and the corporation's policy will not be finalised until the summer.

But ITV said he will step down at the end of the current series to pursue other projects.
