Media Brief

Post categories:

Torin Douglas Torin Douglas | 10:17 UK time, Monday, 27 September 2010

I'm the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's media correspondent and this is my brief selection of what's going on.

she feels that at the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ she is "not trusted, not valued, not needed". She thinks the money paid to Jonathan Ross could have been spent on "actors, wigs, costumes, orchestras. Things that would have made a broadcast channel more rich and varied instead of lumping it all to one face."

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has confirmed that it will not be commissioning another series of its global hit for young children, In the Night Garden. The that at Β£14.5m for 100 half-hour episodes, In the Night Garden is the most expensive children's programme commissioned and co-funded by the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ reports the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Trust has approved in principle the sale of a majority stake in Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Magazines, including the Radio Times.
The the sale would allow for expansion.

Ed Miliband, the victor of Labour's leadership contest has his picture on the front pages, but it is the fate of the vanquished, his brother that attracts the most fascination says the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Newpaper review.
