Brough Scott
Brough Scott is one of the best known figures in horse racing although he once received a viewerβs letter stating βyou used to be the worldβs worst jockey, now you are the worldβs worst commentator, please shut up.β
A graduate of both Oxford University and of 100 winners as an amateur and professional jockey he then for 30 years presented all the major races here and overseas as anchorman for first ITV and then Channel 4 Racing.
As a journalist for the Sunday Times, Independent on Sunday and currently the Sunday Telegraph he has three times been Sports Feature Writer of the Year. In 1986 he founded the Racing Post of which he remains Editorial Director.
He has written 6 books, the latest βGalloper Jackβ being a critically acclaimed biography of his grandfather and is currently researching a series of Victorian novels.
Did Brough Scott ever write under the pseudonym "Gay Lad"? If so, is he still gay lad?
