British ice hockey's back - and live on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ

Basingstoke, Bracknell, Guildford, Milton Keynes; collectively, home to the Premier League's finest.

This is ice hockey's and we're in for a fascinating season, with the first puck dropped in anger this Saturday night.

We've had a summer of teams coming back from the financial brink and new sides joining the league, and it feels like just about every player in the league has changed team, so anything could happen.

As one half of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Sport's Premier League ice hockey commentary team, I can't wait for the season to get started. This is my guide to how the league works, where to go to watch it, and what to expect.

Brownlee takes Yorkshire lane to triathlon stardom

UPDATE:

Two things have transformed Alistair Brownlee from being any other 21-year-old into a world-beating triathlete: luck, and Yorkshire.

Brownlee is guaranteed the world championship title if he finishes in the top five of triathlon's on Australia's Gold Coast on Saturday.

His performances this year, impressive beyond even his own wildest dreams, have earmarked him as Britain's leading candidate to finally make a mark on Olympic in 2012.

At the same time, his introduced him to thousands of new fans, both within Hyde Park and on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ television.

But Brownlee won't credit his incredible year to the raw talent he gained having taken up the triathlon trio of swimming, cycling and running at an early age.

For him, success has been Yorkshire born and bred.
