It’s all very well for our MP’s on £60,000 per annum, plus tens or hundreds of thousands of Pounds in ‘expenses’ (bringing their average income to approx £170,000 pa) but us lowly tax payers have to accept far less. I’m unskilled so I admit I cannot earn a lot, but my wife, who is a local Labour authority lawyer, earns only £30,000. We have financial troubles when we should not. For my wife, this is adding insult to injury. Why on earth should we pay exorbitant expenses for the Nations MP’s? They should be happy with their £60,000 and fund their own homes from their own wages as the rest of us do!

However, there IS an alternative solution to the rising cost of MP’s. I have suggested it before. - We live in an age where communications and transport for our representatives in Parliament are better than ever, so we do not need such small Constituencies. ONE THIRD of MP’s could be cut from the Houses of Parliament and their Constituencies absorbed by neighbouring Constituencies, making them just one third bigger. This will reduce not only the number of MP’s by one third, it will also reduce their support staff, secretaries, family hangers on and others by one third. The saving to the country will be many, many millions of Pounds.

These reductions could be made by simply NOT electing new MP’s to replace retiring MP’s, but by handing their constituency to the nearest neighbouring Constituency, irrespective of Party persuasions. I would envision this process taking approximately a decade to complete.

Michael, I believe you would have known about all the 'fiddles' going on amongst our so called 'honorable members. Why not be brave and tell us what else we should know about these hypocrites or have the media agreed a 'Prince Harry' blackout?

When your Â鶹ԼÅÄ reporting the news about Tibet riots, could you please follow the justice? The most voices I heared are from the tibetans or from Dalai Lama. If you need to report any news, at least you should interview both sides not just simply interview one side which you like to listen and report.

When those tibetan in exile in UK shouting about freedom, has your any journalists or researchers had any ideas about the real life of tibetans in tibet? If any of your journalists lived in tibet for a long time, you would know the better changes of people's life.

When you condemned chinese one child policy, why you never reported that chinese government allows tibetans have as many children as they want? why you never report that tibetans'children will receive extra scores if they go to universities?why you never reported how many bridges and railways chinese government has built up in tibet? why you never reported how much incomes tibetans earned from the tourism business since bridges and railways were built?

How the tibetans in exile claimed they are losing their culture because chinese government bring them modern life? Do they mean all other nations have lost their culture since they have modern life? It is ridiculous. If you go to watch Chinese new year'national TV shows,it is showing tibet's traditional dancing and songs for 25 years now.

I dont think those voices represents any truth and realities.That is why they shouted louder than anyone else.But I wish your TV news should at least represents truth and realities but not simply follow some voices.
