Watch those microphones
Another one of those unguarded overheard moments, in Tuesday's meeting of the Defence Select Committee.
As they switched from one batch of witnesses to another, in mid-session, the Conservative chairman, James Arbuthnot, could be heard rebuking Conservative committee member and former Grenadier Guardsman Adam Holloway, who, it seems disapproved of a question put by the Labour member Linda Gilroy.
Arbuthnot: "Adam, it was not a pathetic point that Linda was making, it was a perfectly valid point that Linda was making."
Holloway: (inaudible mumble)
Linda Gilroy: "We'll discuss it later."
Sparks doubtless flew, or will fly, in private session.
