Music unites us. It moves us, it lifts us up, it connects us. Itā€™s a language we all speak. Eurovision is watched by 160 million people across the world. It is the ultimate celebration of musicā€™s power.

The Ā鶹Ō¼ÅÄ has a very strong history of celebrating the power of music at unmissable and iconic moments. Itā€™s a milestone in British broadcasting and one we are united to deliver with Ukraine.

And, in Liverpool, a city famed for its spirit and musicality, itā€™s an opportunity to bring the world together.

The new brand is a collaboration between creative agencies Superunion in the UK, and Starlight Creative in Ukraine. Working together, they have developed a visual identity that really celebrates this shared moment and represents music as a force for bringing people together. 160 million hearts beating as one. I think itā€™s very much reflective of the feelings that Eurovision brings to audiences across the world - joy, excitement and fun.

The typeface weā€™ve used is called ā€˜Penny Laneā€™, inspired by the twentieth-century cast-iron signs displaying Liverpool street names and a nod to the cityā€™s rich musical heritage. And of course, the colours blue and yellow feature throughout accompanied by an excitable magenta.

Youā€™ll see this rolled out across all of our Eurovision output and if youā€™re in Liverpool, expect to see it across the city too. Itā€™s a vibrant brand that with a distinct Eurovision vibe - optimistic, celebratory, connective. It honours and celebrates Ukraine, and communicates what is unique about this yearā€™s Contest.

So look out for our slogan and brand, sign up to all our Ā鶹Ō¼ÅÄ Eurovision social feeds, watch the allocation draw live on Ā鶹Ō¼ÅÄ Two and Ā鶹Ō¼ÅÄ iPlayer at 7.00pm and while youā€™re at it download the first episode of Eurovisioncast from Ā鶹Ō¼ÅÄ Sounds.

Here.
