Bachchantastic

Raj&Pablo | 11:19 UK time, Sunday, 13 December 2009

Just a note to say a big thank you to everyone who enjoyed our interview with Mr Amitabh Bachchan. It's truly a journey of the Superstar who has appeared in more than 100 films over four decades. We have to say it was a true honour for us to re-live his life. Listen back on bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork and do keep your comments coming in. Let us know what your all time favourite Amitabh film is!

We love "The Family" and both Mum and Dad, Mr and Mrs Grewal (Arvinder and Sarbjit) joined us in between their shouts for cups of tea to talk through their memories of Amitabh Bachchan.

We also caught up Ranibir Kapoor who told us about Rocket Singh, it's another memorable role for him as the young Sardar Ji salesman on a mission. A film with a difference, not your usual, singing and dancing Bollywood flick! Join us next weekend as we bring you an interview with one of the hottest Kapoor's and his experience of playing the Sardar.

The countdown to Christmas has begun, Xmas parties galore but we are determined to make sure we get all our Xmas shopping in early this year. Any ideas of what makes a Bollywood Xmas? Let us know soonest!

Movie Magic

Raj&Pablo | 13:54 UK time, Sunday, 6 December 2009

The wait was finally over this week for one of the most anticipated movies of the year Balki's 'Paa' and boy, was it worth it. What can we say? It's superb. There were some stellar performances and the film is Indian emotionalism at its best. Amitabh Bachchan is fantastic in the role of a 13 year-old child suffering from progeria and Vidya Balan is great as the restrained dynamic mother.
