It would be great to apply some of the 'ethnoclassification' (dreadful term) ideas that flickr and del.icio.us use to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News. The only way I can see this working is if you give the users a reason to bother: by providing them with a personal page containing the news articles they've collected, suggestions for new ones based on the tags they've used before, and any contributions they've made to Have Your Say.
