Today, Director, Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News and Current Affairs, James Harding, talked to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ staff about future plans for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News. The speech was given at New Broadcasting House in central London and also broadcast live to Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ staff across the UK via the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's internal TV service, the 'Ringmain'.

He explained why he thinks Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ News is 'seriously good', announced a number a plans for the news division 'broadening the range of stories and voices on the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ', making a service that is, 'flexible, effective and faster on its feet.'Μύ Plans announced also included the appointment of a daily news agenda editorΜύ on-air editors dedicated to helath and education .
