Play: Simple sounds

Play the 'Simple Sounds' mini game on Small Town Superheroes. Use the yellow arrows to navigate to the 'Sally and Percy' section to find the 'Simple Sounds' game.

If you can, open the game in a new tab. You can do this by right clicking on the window and selecting open link in new tab.

Activity 1: Hunting for sounds

Pick seven sounds that were covered in the 'Simple Sounds' mini game above.

Then go on a hunt around your home or garden and try finding objects that start with the same sound. If you can, try writing the names of the items too.

Try to find five items for each sound.

Activity 2: Blending sounds

Using the same link to Small Town Superheroes above, play the 'Blending sounds' mini game.

Use the yellow arrows to navigate to the 'Sally and Percy' section to find the 'Blending sounds' game.

Try playing the mini game on hard difficulty.

Activity 3: Create your own superhero

Imagine you were creating a new superhero, what would you create?

  1. First of all give them a name.
  2. Draw a picture of your superhero. You can also colour it in too if you'd like.
  3. Label your superhero's features. For example 'cape'. Try and list at least five features.
  4. Write down ten words that describe your superhero. For example, 'strong' or 'brave'.

Once you've finished, show it to someone at home and see if they think it's an amazing superhero.
