How Muslims show care

  • One of the Five Pillars of Islam is called Zakah, where adults give some of their earnings to charity.

  • Sadaqah is an act of kindness which is done voluntarily. Many Muslims try to do this.

  • Some examples of Sadaqah are:

    • Opening the door for someone

    • Donating money or food

    • Helping older family members

    • Making someone smile

    • Visiting people who are sick.

  • During Ramadan, it is common for Muslims to try their best to support charity, help their mosque and help other people in the community.
