My child is struggling, how can I help them?

  • Read the question out loud.
  • Point to each answer in turn, and ask, ‘could this be the right answer?’. Listen to their reasoning to see where a mistake is being made.
  • Replay an easier level, your child may not have learned about all of the topics in the game yet. Getting questions right will build their confidence.
  • Talk to your child about what they did in the game. Explaining it to you could help them remember and understand it.
  • Take a break and come back later or another day.
  • Celebrate their successes!
  • Speak with their teacher if you are worried about your child’s progress.
