Notes for parents

After watching the video, pupils will be able to:

Activity 1

Can you remember the seven rules in video 1? What are they?

Draw a picture to represent each rule. Perhaps you will need to watch the video again.

Activity 2

The weather

Why not create a weather chart for the week? You will need to pay attention to the weather every day and record the results in a table. Click on the link to view the chart. You could either print the sheet from the link below and fill in the details each day, or you could create your own chart. Your choice!

Activity 3

How about creating a poster, ‘Diogelwch yn yr haul’ (Safety in the sun)? You can choose which pictures to include. Remember to label the objects in the poster.

• llosgi – to burn
• sbectol haul – sunglasses
• het haul – sun hat

Video 2 mentioned imperative verbs. Here are some:

• rhowch - put
• gwisgwch - wear
• yfwch - drink
• eisteddwch - sit
• gorchuddiwch - cover
• peidiwch â - do not
• cofiwch – remember

Look at the table below. You will see that the verbs have changed to become imperative verbs.
