The perimeter is the length all the way around the outside of a 2D shape.
We can calculate it by adding the individual lengths of all the sides.
The perimeter for regular and irregular shapes is found the same way.
In this video CAL has a problem with rabbits eating his carrots, and he wants to build a fence around the boundary of his garden to keep the rabbits out.
He needs to calculate how much fencing he will need.
