What is a digital device?

We use lots of different devices to help us in our everyday lives.

A device is something that has been made to do a task.

Many of the devices we use have a small computer inside them. They are called digital devices.

As they use a computer, they need a list of instructions called a computer program to tell them what to do.

Here are some digital devices. How many can you recognise?

How do we use digital devices?

We click or tap the triangle arrow on the screen.

What happens next?

When we click the arrow on the screen, the music starts playing and we can hear it through the phone speakers or our headphones.
