We're having a party

Children in Need party

Join in the fun and games for Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Children in Need on Friday 16th November in Centenary Square - the party starts here.

A fun filled evening is planned in Centenary Square with entertainment from 6pm until 10pm, with Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ DJs, TV presenters and fun activities for the whole family, including giant inflatables and a funfair.

Pudsey Bear will be there in person, cheering on the racers in the main event of the evening – The Thomas Vale Pantomime Horse Grand National.

The Pantomime Horse Grand National is when grown men and women pretend to be horses – they even get dressed up as horses – and then charge along a gruelling 12 jump course, including water jumps, hay bails and foam fences.

It's sure to be a load of fun for those taking part, and probably even more fun for those watching.

Fifty 'horses' will parade along Broad Street at around 6.30pm. The two live horse races will take place at 7.30pm and 8pm.

At various points throughout the evening Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ WM will be on air and Midlands Today will be filming.

Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ WM's Breakfast presenter Phil Upton and Sports reporter Richard Wilford will be compering the horse race. Les Ross will also be on stage to help the proceedings along.

And from TV, Midlands Today's presenters Sarah Falkland and Ashley Blake will be entertaining the crowds.

Come down and join us

To add to the sense of occasion we want lots of fundraisers to come down and meet us at Centenary Square. During the live TV and radio inserts we'll be interviewing some of the fundraisers – so come down and tell us what you’ve been doing.

At 7pm a choir will sing Any Dream Will Do from Joseph – part of this will be broadcast on Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ One at the start of the Children in Need programme. Several regions have been chosen to host the sing-a-long lead by Lee Mead, the winner of the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ show Any Dream Will Do.

People will be getting up to all sorts of fundraising events throughout the day.

Pudsey will be at the NEC raising money for the 'Put with Pudsey' challenge at the Golf Show.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Mailbox Public Space will be holding a day of activities too (more details to follow), and then the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ will be decamping and directing visitors to Centenary Square.

Tell us what you're doing

If you're fundraising for Children in Need, let us know what you're doing.

Send in your pictures

And don't forget to send in pictures of your fundraising event.
